Family & Community Engagement/Parental Involvement

Family & Community Engagement

Our Family & Community Engagement/ Parental Involvement Program

If a child does not have an ongoing source of continuous, accessible health care, the family worker assists in referrals. Children are required to have up-to-date medical records and our services are also family-centered, following the tenets that children develop in the context of their family and culture and that parents are respected as the primary educators and nurturers of their children.

The program offers family members opportunities and support for growth and change, believing that people can identify their own strengths, needs, and interests and are capable of finding solutions. Parents are encouraged to become involved in policy-making and program decisions and are provided with opportunities for a significant experience in the program.
